The Open Source Development Lab was in Beaverton just outside Portland until The Linux Foundation was created and <a href="http://www.oscon.com/oscon2011">http://www.oscon.com/oscon2011</a> is still held in Portland. You might want to talk to the guys on the <a href="http://www.pdxlinux.org/">http://www.pdxlinux.org/</a> mailing list. They are one of the most active LUGs I have ever found.<br clear="all">
