I'm trying to set up mythtv  with a comcast DCH3200 box.<br>I am looking for a way to scan channels and populate the database with channels.<br>I understand the XMLtv database ides and need to populate the DB.<br>I am connected to the box via firewire and the drivers work fine.<br>
I just do not see any way to scan the stream for channels with out a tuner.<br>Has anyone successfully used a software scanner for firewire?<br>There is a MUG locally but its pretty dead, that is why I am posting on the lug.<br>
