Retail and OEM chips have different part
numbers. The one at newegg (ADX6000CZBOX) is retail, look for "BOX" at the
end of the part number for AMD chips. I strongly recommend buying the
retail, as it also comes with a fan. If you need to RMA the CPU they require
the serial number off of the fan, not the chip. Even though an OEM has a 30
day warranty, it is generally very difficult to RMA these. Most resellers
immediately redirect you to the manufacturer who will issue an RMA at their
discretion. If you attempt an RMA as a home user they will generally not
give it as OEM chips are intended, at least their desire, to be sold through
VARs who will provide their own warranty.

Conga percussion units? They're usually well built. Nice legs,
too.
Seriously, I should have spotted that OEM thing. I was going off a
list
of stuff someone sent me. I worked for an "integrator" in the mid
nineties. No, not Northgate, but...
