<br>this:<br><br> - boot the machine, without the adapter<br> - login as root<br> - dmesg > /tmp/before<br> - plug in the adapter<br> - dmesg > /tmp/after<br> - diff /tmp/before /tmp/after<br><br>Are you running the stock kernel?
