Hi Brian, Make sure you get that thermal paste and get a thin layer of it on that cpu. It is must easier now with the motherboard out of the case. Careful of the fan and clips and make sure it is all seated properly, then check to see if you have any issues with posting. The thermal grease may not seem like it is needed now since things are working ok at first, but it will cause an issue later on if you dont use it. It is odd you can get the cpu to start up without it.
