With bacula, does it write directly to the disk in it's own format...or does is just dump stuff to a directory? I'm working mainly in a windows shop, so our backup system is Linux based. Currently I just tar up the important parts and dump them on a windows share via smbclient. The windows backup server doens't have any problem backing up the tarballs. If bacula can function as a drop in replacment for that hack...I'm sold. ;) -- Andrew S.
