Hello, I'm sure we've all run scandisk and waited a day for it to return a summary of bad blocks on a 60 GB hard drive. Ouch! I'm sure we've all used fsck as well and are quite happy when a 200 GB disk takes only hours to check for errors on ext filesystem. Does a faster scanning utitlity exist for Windows partitions that can tell me if a hard drive is beginning to fail? Is it possible to run this utility from a linux boot disk or other boot disk? Cheers!
