When I was on a network before and I double clicked on a pdf file, gnome ghostview would start right up with the file loaded. Then when I first tried it off a network, it would take a few minutes for the ggv just to load up. Now when I double click on a pdf or start the ggv, it opens up (after a long while) but won't display the pdf. When I go to "open" and click the file, it hangs and I have to kill it. but now I'm using kpdf and it works fine. so maybe it was just a problem with the ggv, but I still wonder what's wrong with it. unfortunately, I won't be able to hook up to a network anytime soon to try that out. > Adam wrote: > > Well taking what Jason said into mind as far as DNS.
