Ahhh, probably a typo below. (awxtv = xawtv)

I actually have had better success with the streamer app that comes
with xawtv. Here's a little shell script I wrote that I call from
cron:

#!/bin/sh
if [ ! $3 ]; then
echo "vcrrecord.sh <station> <time> <name>"
exit
fi
STATION=$1
TIME=$2
NAME=$3
FRAMERATE=29.97
RESOLUTION="352x240"
FORMAT="mjpeg"
aumix -S
aumix -v10
aumix -l100
v4lctl setstation $STATION
DATE=`date +%H%M%m%d%y`
echo "$DATE"
FILENAME="/mp3/video/$NAME-$STATION-$DATE.avi"
streamer -t $TIME -s $RESOLUTION -r $FRAMERATE -o $FILENAME -f $FORMAT -F stereo
aumix -L
~
