[TCLUG] Simple gcc question

I was already doing the rpm check and get this response:

gcc-cpp-2.95.2-12mdk

updatedb gives me no response (I'm assuming it's not supposed to)

locate gcc | grep bin gives me:

/usr/X11R6/bin/gccmakedep

Is gccmakedep the file that gcc usually points to?  Do I just need to ln
gcc /usr/X11R6/bin/gccmakedep?

Try:

  # rpm -qa | grep gcc

and

  # updatedb
  # locate gcc | grep bin

(The `#' means do this at a root prompt; technically only necessary
for the second command.)
