So, you only get the errors when copying from a drive to the Escalade, or vice-versa? I guess I won't see that since I only have the Escalade in my system :) Maybe it's something to do with your RAID level? What level are you using? I've only used RAID 0 on my Escalade so far. It makes managing it much easier. If you have to go with a PCI RAID controller, ask yourself if this is a production system or not. If not, I'd go with an Escalade. Unless of course you need RAID 4 or 5. My $.02.
