(I also have reiserfs and X11 4.0 going on debian as well!) If you let me know how far you've gotten, I may be able to help. They converted right over with "alien" for me - other than configuring the files afterward, that was all I had to do. LTSP is SO cool - but the configuration and startup scripts could be done better... (at least the version I have had lots of hard coded IP addresses in the scripts). If I knew more about the "creation" side of the debian package management system, I'd submit debs for all of the modules...
