Inc. is seeking a Senior Systems Administrator to be part our
mission-critical technical operations and software maintenance and
support teams. These teams are core to the success of our business
and will be responsible for administering, tuning, and scaling our
Java-based web application and infrastructure. The system is deployed
on RedHat Enterprise Linux, CentOS, and Windows 2003 Servers running
IIS 6.0, Apache 2.0 & 2.2, Tomcat 5.5, and Oracle 10g, in both
virtualized and non-virtualized environments.</font></font></p>
<p class="western" style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><font
face="Arial, sans-serif"><font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2">The
Senior Systems Administrator will be responsible for both system
administration and software maintenance and support – running the
day-to-day administration of the production and staging environments
as well as participating in development efforts. This includes
hardware, network, server, and database sizing, monitoring, scaling,
troubleshooting, planning, backups, as well as participation in the
analysis, design, and implementation of new features and
enhancements.</font></font></p>
<p class="western" style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><font
face="Arial, sans-serif"><font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2"><b>Required</b></font></font></p>
<p class="western" style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><font
face="Arial, sans-serif"><font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2">The
ideal candidate will meet most of the following criteria:</font></font></p>
<ol>
<li>
<p class="western" style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><font
face="Arial, sans-serif"><font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2">Five
years of systems administration experience on Linux and Windows servers</font></font></p>
</li>
<li>
<p class="western" style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><font
face="Arial, sans-serif"><font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2">SAGE
level III or IV</font></font></p>
</li>
<li>
<p class="western" style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><font
face="Arial, sans-serif"><font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2">Experience
with VMware ESX Hosts and Guests</font></font></p>
</li>
<li>
<p class="western" style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><font
face="Arial, sans-serif"><font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2">Experience
with highly available virtualized environments</font></font></p>
</li>
<li>
<p class="western" style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><font
face="Arial, sans-serif"><font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2">Experience
in System Administration automation (standard builds and deployments)</font></font></p>
</li>
<li>
<p class="western" style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><font
face="Arial, sans-serif"><font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2">Experience
in high volume and high capacity environments</font></font></p>
</li>
<li>
<p class="western" style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><font
face="Arial, sans-serif"><font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2">Experience
with production-tier, high volume SQL compliant databases (ex: Oracle
9i or 10g)</font></font></p>
</li>
<li>
<p class="western" style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><font
face="Arial, sans-serif"><font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2">Experience
with multiple web-server technologies (IIS, Apache, etc)</font></font></p>
</li>
<li>

face="Arial, sans-serif"><font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2">LAN
and WAN administration experience including monitoring, scaling,
troubleshooting, tuning, routers, firewalls, switches, VPN, and storage
area network (SAN)</font></font></p>

degree in Computer Science or related field; or equivalent work
experience</font></font></p>

motivated, and creative</font></font></p>
</li>

with Enterprise Service Bus (Mule) application integration patterns</font></font></p>
</li>
<li>

or more years of network administration</font></font></p>
</li>
<li>

with capacity planning</font></font></p>

with Java application servers such as Apache Tomcat</font></font></p>

to and understanding of web services, WSDL, and service-oriented
architecture</font></font></p>

with HTTPS and load balancing of HTTPS web servers</font></font></p>

developing for and administration of multiple relational databases
(Oracle, Access, SQL Server, Informix, Sybase, etc)</font></font></p>

developing consumer-facing products</font></font></p>

training as a Systems Administrator with strong skills in both Linux
