We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Server Systems Analyst
position, focusing on our Linux Platform at our global headquarters location
in St. Louis Park, MN.



Specific responsibilities include;
• Perform analysis and design and provide technical solutions of customer
requirements
• Rack, stack, configure, and install SuSE OS and appropriate software
packages to meet business requirements
• Provide technical support for server environment and appropriate
monitoring applications to ensure proper capacity and availability.
• Work with vendors on developing quotes for system hardware configurations
based on need
• Monitor overall systems performance, capacity and utilization, makes and
implements recommendations as necessary
• Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of computer technology, including
hardware, software and data communications. Perform technical evaluations
and recommendations regarding new and innovative technologies
• Work in a collaborative environment as a team member with other system
administrators
• Document department process and procedures




 *Skills and Experience Required*:

• BS/BA in Computer Science or related field or equivalent work
experience(required)
• 1 - 2 years of Enterprise Linux systems administration experience
(required)
• Shell programming experience (required)
• Level I certification of at least one vendor's Linux operating system
(preferred)
• Scripting knowledge (PERL, shell) (required)
• Understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, and networking principles (preferred)
• Solid performance and troubleshooting skills (required)
• Ability to verbally present complex concepts and technical information to
a non-technical audience in a clear and concise manner (required)
• Effective team player, shows initiative and is self-motivated (required)


 *Special Considerations*:

Ability to be on call, on a rotational basis.
