The Senior Systems Administrator will be responsible for both system administration and software maintenance and support -- running the day-to-day administration of the production and staging environments as well as participating in development efforts. This includes hardware, network, server, and database sizing, monitoring, scaling, troubleshooting, planning, backups, as well as participation in the analysis, design, and implementation of new features and enhancements. *Required* The ideal candidate will meet most of the following criteria: 1. Five years of systems administration experience on Linux and Windows servers 2. SAGE level III or IV 3. Experience with VMware ESX Hosts and Guests 4. Experience with highly available virtualized environments 5. Experience in System Administration automation (standard builds and deployments) 6. Experience in high volume and high capacity environments 7. Experience with production-tier, high volume SQL compliant databases (ex: Oracle 9i or 10g) 8. Experience with multiple web-server technologies (IIS, Apache, etc) 9. LAN and WAN administration experience including monitoring, scaling, troubleshooting, tuning, routers, firewalls, switches, VPN, and storage area network (SAN) 10. Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field; or equivalent work experience 11. Smart, motivated, and creative 12. Strong work ethic and the ability to work with minimal supervision *Preferred* It is strongly desired that candidates also meet some of the following criteria: 1. Ten or more years of system administration experience 2. Experience with Software as a Service (SaaS) business and software systems 3. Experience with Enterprise Service Bus (Mule) application integration patterns 4. Five or more years of network administration 5. Experience with capacity planning 6. Experience with Java application servers such as Apache Tomcat 7. Exposure to and understanding of web services, WSDL, and service-oriented architecture 8. Experience with HTTPS and load balancing of HTTPS web servers 9. Experience developing for and administration of multiple relational databases (Oracle, Access, SQL Server, Informix, Sybase, etc) 10. Experience developing consumer-facing products 11. Two years of software development experience with Unix scripting, HTML, Java, JSP, ASP, and/or SQL 12. Formal training as a Systems Administrator with strong skills in both Linux and Windows 2000/2003 Server administration 13.
