(not specific Linux but one of your members told me to write in any way as someone on this list may be interested in looking at this opportunity). The following is the opportunity. We are only able to bring people on as W2 employees for this contract. We are not able to work with Independent Contractors or other corporations. Project Description: This person will be working on the migration of SAS users to the SAS on Solaris platform to AIX platform. Contractor's Primary Goals: * This person will manage and implement the migration of the Base SAS users from the traditional environments to the new SAS Unix environment. Business Need that will be addressed & work product expected: * Delivery of UNIX SAS User and infrastructure migration. Contractor's Expectations: * Actively contribute to an excellent team environment * Manage tasks, expectations and deliverables * Solid communication and team working skills * Strong attention to detail * Work with little supervision Required Experience: * Must have 3-7 years of Unix Administration experience. * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field * Experience in the following technologies a must: Base SAS products, SAS Integration Technologies, AIX, Solaris, VI editor, Unix Administration, Unix Scripting (e.g.: korn shell) * Be able to identify objects, impacts and tasks relevant to migrating a large number of SAS users to a new UNIX environment. * Should have administration experience with enterprise systems. * Demonstrated human relation skills to effectively interact with management and peers within a team environment. * Strong oral and written communication skills. * Strong interpersonal skills: self-motivated and shows initiative Most Importantly: The successful candidate needs to be proficient in Solaris, AIS, SAS Foundation, and SAS Integration Technologies. Their skills must include: problem analysis, script development and managing and communicating issues, and progress to management and others where appropriate.
