I am currently recruiting for 2 embedded software developers to work
on wireless devices.  One is a junior position, the other a mid level.
 There may also be a senior engineer position available as well.  If

Things that apply to both positions.  

The jobs are full time positions and located in Bloomington, Minnesota.
Relocation package is available as well as 401k, stock options,

Following are the job descriptions for both positions.

Junior Software Engineer.

As Software Engineer you wil assist senior level engineers with the
design and development of embedded software for operation and
management of the company's wireless broadband access system.
Specifically you will design and implement system testing routines for
feature and performance verification; maintain equipment in
development testing lab, including switches, routers, and servers;
maintain and execute system build procedure; assist deployment and
support teams in diagnosing problems in the field.

Experience required:  1-3 years

Languages:  C Language proficiency and knowledge of multi-threaded
real-time programming.
Understanding of OSI layer 2 (link) data communications, including
Ethernet addressing switched Ethernet LAN's, VLAN's and LAN bridging.
Understanding of Windows and Linux system administration.
Familiarity with Perl, Tcl, or other scripting language. 

Software Engineer.

As Software Engineer you will be designing and developing embedded
software for operation and management of the company's wireless
broadband access system. Specifically, you will design new network
elements to solve particular problems or add new features; determine
testing strategy to expolit new capabilities; implement new product
features; and work with deployment teams to diagnose problems in the
field.

Experience:  5-7 years

Requirements:

Five years experience with embedded software development projects.
Experience with Data Communications.
C Language proficiency.
Solid understanding of OSI layer 2 (link) data communications
(Ethernet addressing, switched Ethernet LANs, and LAN bridging)
Experience with IP telephony: VoIP protocols, RTP, call setup protocols.
Perl, Tcl or other scripting language.
SDL or real-time UML modeling.
