JOB ANNOUNCEMENT
Position: Web Programmer
Subtitle: Java web developers needed for phase two of mnartists.org
mnartists.org is expanding and seeks experienced programmers to join
the development team.

Position responsibilities include:

- Full lifecycle development. As part of a team, you will participate
  in the design, development and launch of mnartists.org phase two.
- Transforming a set of business specifications into a Technical
  Specification.
- Helping define or improve a technical architecture for the site.
- Develop significant portions of the code, including re-purposing
  existing open source components.
- Testing and implementing code, including unit, system and
  load-testing, plus participating in usability labs.

Requirements:

- You must have demonstrated the ability to take business
  specifications and turn those into a technical architecture,
  detailed tech specs, and ultimately coherent application code. 
- Server-side Java design and programming in a web environment. 
- Linux or other hands-on Unix experience. 
- Relational database experience is required, preferably with
  PostgreSQL.

This is a freelance position for the Walker Art Center. You'll work
with a team of dedicated arts professionals committed to building an
