Message-ID: <20000820112620.A7665@localhost> Hey all. Lemme start by saying I am not a head-hunter. I am a TCLUG member who got a great job due to one of our meetings. Because of this I feel I owe something back to the LUG. I am looking for an assistant. The posisiton would entail user support (most of these people are linux kernel hackers but there are approximately 4 non-technical people 2 of which run windows), account maintenace as well as assisting me and filling-in in my abscence. It's an open source linux centric company and we write the GFS (Global File System) and LVM (Logical Volume Manager) for linux. Keep in mind this is an entry level position so if you have just a year or so of linux admin experience this is o.k. All is not lost provided you have the right attitude and are willing to work hard. Skill sets needed: TCP/IP, sendmail, apache, firewall techniques, NIS, NFS, and whatever other standard stuff that I can't think of right now. And again if you are the kind of person who can solve problems and take initiative this is a great advantage. This won't be a super high paying job and hours are extremely flexible. I think this would be the perfect job for someone going to school as you could work from home or wherever too. Interested parties should send a resume to me in some format readable on my linux box (pdf, ps, html, txt, star office formats or what ever) -- Ben Lutgens Cell: 651.387.9065 Home: 651.703.9541 System Administrator Sistina Software Inc http://www.sistina.com Backup not found: (A)bort (R)etry (T)hrowup -------------------------------------------------------------------------------? --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: tclug-jobs-unsubscribe@mn-linux.org For additional commands, e-mail: tclug-jobs-help@mn-linux.org From Chad_A_Haugen at keane.com Thu Aug 24 15:27:05 2000 From: Chad_A_Haugen at keane.com (Chad_A_Haugen@keane.com) Date: Mon Jan 17 15:05:55 2005 Subject: [Tclug-jobs] [TCLUG-JOBS:94] UNIX O/S (Kernel) Developers Message-ID: We are currently searching to hire folks for our O/S development team. It seems we are also looking for some more experienced people to test and deploy SAN clusters, WAN solutions, as well as Intranet Solutions and just about anything you can think of. If you have experience in the R&D and deployment of these types of things in a Unix / Linux environment and are interested in working for a fairly new open source linux company. Fire me off an email with attatched resume (or a URL to a web based one) I will forward it to the appropriate people. -- Ben Lutgens Work: 612.379.5941 Cell: 651.387.9065 Home: 651.703.9541 Systems Administrator Sistina Software Inc. http://www.globalfilesystem.org/ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: tclug-jobs-unsubscribe@mn-linux.org For additional commands, e-mail: tclug-jobs-help@mn-linux.org From blutgens at sistina.com Mon Aug 28 19:22:26 2000 From: blutgens at sistina.com (blutgens@sistina.com) Date: Mon Jan 17 15:05:55 2005 Subject: [Tclug-jobs] [TCLUG-JOBS:96] Sistina Assistant Admin (Again) Message-ID: <20000828192226.D23981@titanium.sistina.com> Hey all, just writing to let you all know that the postition of assistant admin at sistina software is basically going to be a full time postition as we are r?mping things up. Again skill sets needed are DNS, Sendmail, iptables, apache, RAID (hardware and software), majorslowmo, cyrus imap/pop3d suite, ssh, NFS, NIS, cvs, bugzilla, mysql (is nice). Familiarity of RedHat and Debian is a must, all others a bonus. Applicants need not be strong in all areas but a few would be nice. It is an assistant admin postition so you will not be required to take lead on these things but should you should be able to think on your feet and solve problems. Also I can't seem to find what I did with Callum Lerwicks number, could you send it again please?
