Data Domain has been in the Deduplication business since 2001 and owns over 50% of the entire data deduplication market from SMB to Enterprise datacenters. Their appliances are Linux-based inside, but present a simple user interface to the outside world, making them an easy plug-and-play solution. About the Speaker: Steve Lytle is the Strategic Account Manager for Data Domain in Minnesota. He has been with Data Domain for 4 years which was when data deduplication first hit the SMB market. Steve was previously a Sr. Account Executive with McData Corp (now Brocade), EMC & Xiotech. He has his BA in Business Economics from South Dakota State University. Vic is the Principal Systems Engineer for Data Domain concentrating on strategic accounts in Minnesota. Vic has been with Data Domain since 2005 which puts him at the forefront of data deduplication. Vic has held System Engineering positions with several storage and switching companies including EMC, McData, Brocade, Nishan Systems and Qlogic. Vic has a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Minnesota.
